Due to continued growth and client demands, we're currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team located in Avonmouth.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Technical department the role will require working closely with production to ensure the highest quality across the products, and compliance with food safety and legal requirements throughout the site.

  • Ensure products are made to specification and correct policies and procedures are followed during the production process.

  • Reporting directly to the Technical Manager and supporting the Technical Compliance Manager when required.

  • Completing the daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled tasks which including scale and probe calibrations, verifying paperwork, microbiological sample submission and filing, clean down verification, temperature checks, supplier and internal non-conformance, customer complaint investigations, glass & plastic audits and fabrication audits.

  • Supporting the training of staff and verification against CCPs, policies and procedures.

  • To conduct internal GMP audits across departments and conduct hygiene verifications.

  • Assisting the Technical Manager and the Technical Compliance Manager with external audits.

  • The role will be a mix of factory and office-based work to meet the needs of the business as required.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a food manufacturing environment

  • Food safety level 2, HACCP level 2

  • Computer literate, particularly Microsoft programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Desirable

  • To support in the generation of Risk Assessments and SSOW

  • Proactive identification of H&S hazards, supporting and ensuring that all actions are closed off on time including corrective actions following incidents/audits/accidents.
